Fullbay alternative

Fullbay is built for
a shop with a
parts counter.

If you have four bays, service writers and somebody running inventory, Fullbay is a good fit and we will say so. If you have a truck, a phone and nobody at a front desk, here is what changes.

Month to month, no annual agreement. Or call (743) 216-7142 and a technician picks up.

The honest version

Fullbay is good software.
The question is who for.

Fullbay was built for heavy-duty repair shops with bays, service writers and a parts counter. If that's you, it does that job well and this page probably isn't for you. Most people searching for an alternative aren't that shop. They're one or two techs who bought a system sized for somebody else.

You're paying for a front desk you don't have

Service writer workflows, multi-bay scheduling, a parts counter module. Useful features. Not features you use.

Built assuming there's no front desk

The workflow starts in a driveway on a phone, because that's where the job actually happens. Nothing in it assumes somebody is at a desk taking calls.

Their AI cleans up your notes

Fullbay's AI covers technician note cleanup, voice transcription and translation. That's admin help.

Ours tells you the torque spec

Ask it year, make, engine and what you need. Back comes the spec, the pattern, the re-torque interval and the safety note — then it drops into a quote.

The phone still goes to voicemail

No inbound voice receptionist. If you're under a truck, the call is lost and you never learn what it was worth.

Foreman picks up

In your business name. Takes the vehicle, the location and the problem, books the job, and hands you the summary when you come out from under the truck.

Overdue invoices just sit there

Not in their published feature list, so chasing money is a phone call you have to make yourself.

Late fees apply themselves

On your terms, automatically, without you being the bad guy about it.

Nothing for the reefer on the back

Shop management, not a diagnostic library. No Thermo King or Carrier alarm codes, no refrigerant charge specs.

Reefer diagnostics are the core

TK and Carrier alarm codes with the diagnostic path, charge specs by unit model, and every electrical result stating AC or DC and separating motor supply from control circuit.

Their portal, their branding

The customer-facing side carries the vendor's identity.

Your logo, nowhere else's

Booking pages, quotes and invoices carry your business. There's no NWI mark on anything a customer looks at.

Terms, not features

How you're billed
is the other difference.

Where Fullbay wins. Multi-bay shops with a dedicated parts and inventory person get real value out of their warehouse and multi-location tooling, and their onboarding team will walk you through a migration. If you're that shop today, stay where you are — we'd rather say it now than have you cancel in month three.

Straight answers

Switching questions.

Can I move my customer and vehicle data over?
Yes. Export your customers, vehicles and history from your current system and bring them in. There's no migration fee. If the export format gives you trouble, call and we'll sort it out on the phone.
What do I actually lose by switching?
Depth on warehouse and inventory management, multi-location tooling, and a dedicated onboarding team. If those are load-bearing for you, that's a real cost. If you've got a truck and a parts run to NAPA, they aren't.
I'm mid-contract. Should I wait?
Probably. Book a demo before your renewal comes up rather than after, so the decision is made on information instead of a deadline. We're month to month, so there's no long commitment on our end either way.
Does NWI handle heavy duty like Fullbay does?
Differently. Fullbay manages a heavy-duty shop's operations. NWI's heavy duty side is a diagnostic library first — Thermo King and Carrier alarm codes, refrigerant charge specs, truck engine diagnostics — with the shop management built around it.

See it before you switch.

Month to month, no annual agreement, no onboarding call to sit through.
